Hi loves! So I have been waiting to do this post for a while now. Over the summer, I decided to switch up my foundation and primer. After looking into it, I decided which ones I was going to go with based on reviews and my skin type. Since it’s been a few months using these products I can honestly say I am so happy with the way my makeup/skin looks and lasts throughout the day. I have more oily skin so I am always looking to mattify and stay shine free. Shop my faves below!

  1. Clinique Moisturizing Gel  — So I wash my face in the morning and moisturize with this before I put my makeup on. I chose this lotion because it is a gel so it’s on the thinner side and doesn’t make my skin more oily than it already is. I also used to use this when I was younger so I decided to go back after remembering how much I loved it.
  2. Nars Pore and Shine Control Primer — Next, I use this primer on top of that moisturizer. I really like this one. It keeps my makeup super smooth and it lasts for a long time. It’s good at minimizing pores and it’s a great base for my foundation. I apply this with my hands.

3. Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation— Okay, so after I prime I use 1 pump of this foundation. I use it with THIS brush. I’m really enjoying this foundation. It mattifies my face and lasts all day. I still have to blot and powder occasionally but it’s managable. It makes my skin look smooth but still natural and not caked.

4. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer— After I do my foundation, I use this concealer under my eyes. I draw triangles under my eyes with the wand and then fill the triangles in with the left over concealer on the wand. I then blend in the concealer with this Mini Beauty Blender. It blends much nicer with this then a brush or my finger. I also use this in the color vanilla which is a few shades lighter than my skin tone. I like doing this so that my under eyes look bright and awake. I would recommend getting color matched by someone in Sephora or at a Nars counter.

After I’m done, I set my face with a powder and then move on to my bronzer, blush, and eyes. If you guys want to see a more in depth post on the rest of my face/makeup let me know!! These are just the new products that I’ve added to my routine and have been loving. Let me know if you try any of them!

As always, thanks for reading!

So, this was the outfit that I wore for the wineries a few weeks ago. I am so obsessed with this top. I like the ruffle and the one shoulder look right now. I’m especially loving this wine color for fall and it was perfectly appropriate for the occasion. I also wear this belt with everything lately, it just adds some detail. Also love the way this skirt buttons up the front. Shop my look below!

Hello loves! Sharing this simple look today but I wanted to tell you about this necklace! I’ve been super in to layering shorter and longer necklaces these days and these two are perfect for that. I linked the etsy shop below where you can purchase them! The first one has tiny gold droplets and the other one has tiny pieces of Peridot gemstone which is the August birthstone. I love the way the 2 looked paired together and you could even add in other gold necklaces you already have. Definitely check out Jill’s etsy shop for more beautiful handmade pieces!
